Privacy policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and the choices you have. We have written it to meet the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws elsewhere.

The short version

Files and text you use in our tools are processed in your own browser and are never uploaded to us. We only receive personal data if you contact us, and our advertising and analytics partners use cookies only as described below.

Who is responsible

This website is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at any time through the contact page.

What we collect and why

  • Tool content: PDFs, text and other data you put into a tool stay on your device. We never receive, store or see them.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message, used only to reply to you (legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you asked us to take). We keep messages for up to 12 months.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest). Logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
  • Saved and recent tools, theme choice: stored in your own browser's local storage. They are never sent to us.

Cookies and advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense and may use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure performance. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, personalised ads and non-essential cookies are only used with your consent, which you can give or refuse in the consent message shown on your first visit, and change at any time.

You can also manage ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

International transfers

Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact page. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
