About us
Last updated 7 October 2026
We build simple, fast and free online tools for everyday jobs: merging and signing PDFs, shrinking a scan so it fits an upload limit, making a QR code, formatting a bit of JSON or creating a strong password. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no watermark on anything you make.
Why we started
Most free online converters ask you to upload your file, which is a strange thing to do with a payslip, a contract or a scan of your passport. We wanted tools we would be comfortable using for our own documents, so we built them to work differently. They run inside your browser, on your own computer or phone, and the files never travel anywhere.
Your files stay on your device
When you open a PDF in one of our tools, it is read by your browser and the result is saved straight back to your device. We never receive the file, so we cannot store it, lose it or see it. That also makes the tools quick, because there is no waiting for an upload on a slow connection, and it makes them a good fit for people who care about data protection rules such as the GDPR.
How we pay for it
The site is supported by a small number of advertisements, which is what lets us keep every tool free. We do not sell your data, because we do not collect it. You can read the details in our privacy policy.
Who is behind it
The site is built and maintained by a small web development team. These tools began as utilities we wrote for ourselves and then decided to share. We read every message, so if you have found a bug or want a tool we do not have yet, tell us.
Get in touch
Questions, suggestions and bug reports are welcome on the contact page. If a tool saved you time, the best thanks is to tell a colleague about it.
